COVID-19 impact on Indian factory workers

Late September 2020, the Dutch government announced new COVID19 restrictions causing many of us to go back to working from home due to COVID19. This does not apply to Saravanan, tailor at VP Knit Fashions confectioning, and his colleagues. Saravanan (30 years old) was born and raised in a small village in Salem District in Tamilnadu, about 100 km from Tirupur, India. He now lives in Tirupur with his family, is married and has a beautiful 4 year old daughter named Thuthiksha, who attends kindergarten. Saravanan has been a tailor for 5 years now, 4 of which he has been working at VP Knit Fashions, where he mainly works on t-shirts and sweaters for European and South African brands, some of which are tex.tracer clients.
