Empowering the future of fashion: tex.tracer collaborates with Saxion University
At tex.tracer, we believe in the power of collaboration – not only with industry leaders but also with the changemakersof tomorrow: students. That’s why we are proud to partner with Saxion University of Applied Sciences for their yearly Buying Project, where 2nd-year students from the Fashion & Textile Technologies course step into a real-world fashion scenario to design, source, and deliver a collection from concept to reality.
This hands-on project gives students the unique opportunity to navigate the key stages of the supply chain, from understanding their target audience and creating a collection to sending technical packs to international production partners. But the journey doesn’t stop there – it also requires a deep dive into supply chain transparency, risk assessment, and responsible decision-making.
tex.tracer: Bringing transparency to life
This is where tex.tracer steps in. As a trusted transparency partner, our platform allows students to map out their supply chains, collect essential data, and generate a Digital Product Passport. With access to this tool, students gain firsthand experience in tracking and verifying supply chain information – a process that will soon become indispensable as the EU moves toward stricter regulations.
Take a look at the incredible results from one of the student groups who designed a denim collection. Their hard work and dedication are showcased in this Digital Product Passport, providing full transparency of their supply chain journey.
Real-life learning for real-world challenges
Through this collaboration, students don’t just learn theory – they tackle tangible industry challenges. They evaluate potential supply chain partners, identify risks, and explore the role transparency plays in a responsible and future-proof fashion industry. By using tex.tracer, they see firsthand how data-backed transparency can create trust and accountability across global supply chains.
As one of the groups designed a denim collection for this year’s project, their results showcased impressive creativity, attention to detail, and a strong focus on responsible production. Check out this infographic, highlighting the group’s journey and collection outcomes.
Shaping the industry together
What excites us most is witnessing the students’ fresh perspectives on industry transparency. The questions they raise and the ideas they share inspire us, reminding us why collaboration is key to progress. It’s a win-win: students gain critical insights into the tools and processes shaping the future of fashion, and we, as tex.tracer, get to engage with the next generation of innovators committed to creating positive change.
We are thrilled to support passionate students who are already embracing the values of transparency and responsibility –values that will define the future of every textile company.
Stay tuned for more feedback from the students themselves as they reflect on their experiences and discoveries during the project.
Together, we’re not just imagining the future of fashion – we’re empowering it.
