The textile supply chain is filled with complexity, often a mystery, with numerous intermediaries and complex processes making it challenging for brands and consumers alike to understand “who made my clothes”. Yet, amidst this complexity lies a commitment to bring clarity, paving the way for transparency and ethical practices to become the norm.
As we navigate these complexities, our journey brought us to the doorstep of Clifton Private Exports Ltd., a key supply chain partner of Prénatal. With a decade-long collaboration under their belt, Clifton has portrayed dedication to transparency and trust, boasting a network of more than 10 factories and a workforce exceeding 2,000 individuals. This enduring partnership is sustained by seamless communication channels, ensuring a symbiotic workflow and timely deliveries.
By delving deeper into Clifton's operations and supply chain, we brought much-deserved recognition to the subsidiary units of parent company Clifton. These sub-units manage the entire process, from raw material processing to fabric conversion. It is our mission to highlight such intricacies within the supply chain. By mapping out Clifton's supply chain, we ensure that the vital roles of each small unit are acknowledged and celebrated.
During our time at Clifton, we observed the production process of Prénatal’s clothes, including a charming set of newborn garments adorned with bee prints. From cutting to sewing and packaging, each step was executed with care. Seeing these same garments later available for sale on Prénatal’s website emphasises the power of transparent supply chains and the importance of understandingthe journey of a garment.
In essence, our journey with Clifton and Prénatal’s underscores the transformative potential of transparency, offering brands, retailers, and consumers remarkable insights into the journey of their products. By unravelling the supply chain and celebrating the efforts of all stakeholders, we pave the way for a more equitable and sustainable future in the textile industry.
